Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、近代の沖縄の短歌をめぐる状況を明らかにすることである。沖縄戦で多くの資料が失われたため、近代の歌人たちの活動や作品については分からないことも多い。本研究では1872年から1952年にかけての時期を主な研究対象とし、沖縄で詠まれた短歌だけではなく、当該期に沖縄出身者が県外・国外で詠んだ短歌にも注目する。沖縄県外の歌人との交流や海外への移住者の作品へと視野を広げることで、近代の沖縄における短歌の展開の諸相に迫ることを目指す。
