Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、純文学と大衆文学の間を越境的に活躍し、第二次大戦後の文壇で極めて重要な位置を占めた作家・水上勉の旧蔵資料を調査・整理し、その全容を明らかにする。
現在、水上勉旧宅に保管されている資料には、様々な作品の原稿をはじめ、著名作家や編集者・文化人らの書簡や、演劇関係資料・旧蔵書・遺品などが多数含まれる。これまでも2016年度から科研費助成を受け、資料調査を行ってきたが、今回新たに研究分担者1名を加え、本資料の調査拠点を日本近代文学館へ移し、聞き取り調査や企画展、シンポジウムの開催を通して資料のさらなる重層的な価値づけを行い、最終的には戦後社会における文学のあり方を考察していく。
