Outline of Research at the Start

馬琴研究に関して、自筆詩歌や草稿は個々の研究では触れられるものの、網羅的に整理したものは今のところ見当たらないように思われる。本研究では全国各地に点在する馬琴手沢資料の調査を行い、作品への影響や近世文学研究上の意義を鮮明にする。さらに馬琴は伊勢の殿村篠斎や小津桂窓、讃岐高松藩の木村黙老などの蔵書家と交流を行う中で情報を得ていた。馬琴がどのような書物を所蔵し、どのような情報を作品執筆に利用したのか。馬琴の自筆資料の検証と分析は馬琴の文芸活動の総体に迫る研究であり、かつ近世後期戯作者をめぐる文化環境の解明に資すると思われる。
