Outline of Research at the Start	鎌倉前期の代表的な宮廷歌人である藤原定家の日記『明月記』を主たる研究対象とし、その文学的環境を解明することを目的とする。具体的には、『明月記』の記事を通して、定家の歌合や勅撰集編纂などの創作活動、古典作品の書写・校訂作業、和漢の古典知識、文学的表現、さらには定家の人間関係や活動範囲などの文学的環境について明らかにする。また、『明月記』を精読、分析し、人名や地名の比定などを通して、人名・地名・件名や語句等を検索できるデータベースを作成する。
