Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、1920-40年代のファシズムに同調した英米モダニズムの詩人たちが、現在を混沌と見なし、ファシズムに秩序を求めた要因を研究する。従来の研究では、ファシズム的モダニストの一般化を急ぐ余り、彼らの作品に表れた具体的な地域の諸問題がファシズム支持に結びついていたことを見過ごしてきた。本研究は、彼らが現在を無秩序と見るに至った背景にアメリカ、アイルランド、イギリスに関わる歴史的・政治的文脈があることを示し、詩人たちが美学と情動の領域で訴えるファシズムに秩序を求めた過程を解明する。
