Outline of Research at the Start

15世紀にイングランドで著されたトマス・マロリーの『アーサー王の死』を、ピーター・フィールドによる2013年の校訂本を通じて精読する。最新の研究成果も反映することで、より筆者マロリーの物語に近づけるようアップデートを行う。解釈の分かれる点や再検証が必要な箇所についてはフィールド本人に連絡を取り、本プロジェクトメンバーからの質問や提案に対する助言を頂く。2026年の時点で、最新の研究成果を反映したマロリーの物語を再構築し、その日本語版を出版する。上述の通り、これまで流布していた翻訳版『アーサー王の死』の不備を修正し、より正確な形でマロリーの作品にアクセスできるようにする。
