Outline of Research at the Start	ロシア革命に続く内戦の混乱期に民主主義国として独立したジョージアの首都トビリシは、1921年にソ連に占領されるまで、多くの芸術家の避難場所となった。ロシア・アヴァンギャルドの芸術家たちもトビリシに居を移して「41°」グループを結成した。彼らにとってトビリシは芸術的にも言語的にもまったく新しい環境であり、創作活動に大きな影響を与えた。本研究の目的は、①ロシア・アヴァンギャルド芸術家とトビリシの芸術家・知識人との交流の事実関係を確認し、②それがロシアの芸術家の芸術理念と創作活動に与えた影響について考察するとともに、③当時のトビリシに見られる「文化の中心と周縁」のメカニズムを明らかにすることである。
