Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、自然災害とラフカディオ・ハーンの関係性に関する先行研究の欠落を埋める基礎的調査をおこなったのち、東日本大震災以降に展開された死者論、霊性論、ケア論、震災後文学論などの知見をもちいて、〈震災後〉という状況が抱える問題をハーンの文学作品をとおして読み直し、死者とともに生きていくことの解釈可能性を切り拓く。以上をつうじて、〈震災後〉の状況と共鳴するハーンの文学、とくにその霊性の文学の現代的意義を解明することを目指す。さらに、本研究は災害文化の視点からハーンの文化資源化をすすめ、本研究成果をレジリエントな地域づくりに応用していく。
