This project enables the research in East Africa for five years. One month a year PI will visit Djibouti, Kenya and Ethiopia and collect data in East Cushitic languages-Somali, Afar, Dhaasanac, Rendille, Oromo, Borana, Burji and others. The research topics are negation and polarity items, indexicality and presupposition projection.
