Outline of Research at the Start	アゼルバイジャン語において疑問標識-mIが用いられるタイプの疑問文と、同疑問標識を用いずに文末のイントネーションを上昇させるタイプの疑問文について、二つの異なるタイプの疑問表現が一言語内にどのように共存しているのか、その実態を解明する。また、アゼルバイジャン語において上昇イントネーションに固有の意味・機能が存在するかについても検討を行い、疑問標識-mI以外の疑問の助詞と従来言われている様々な形式の意味・機能についても明らかにする。さらに多くのチュルク諸語との対照を通じて、アゼルバイジャン語固有の特徴およびチュルク諸語の疑問表現の多様性を明らかにする。
