Outline of Research at the Start

語形成論の先行研究では看過されてきた形容詞類や属性を表す名詞を作る語形成の特徴を属性叙述の観点から明らかにし従来の原理では説明できない事実を発掘し，新たな語形成論を展開すると共に叙述類型論への貢献も目指す。
具体的には以下の(A)-(E)等の属性の解釈が可能な合成語を扱う。(A)日本語のX＋動詞連用形型複合語，(B)英語のX+V-en型複合語で、Xが形容詞やVの内項のもの，(C)英語のV+-erと日本語の「-者／-手」等による派生語，(D)傾向を表す英語の-proneと日本語の接辞「-ぎみ/-がち/-やすい」による合成語，(E)英語の-ableと日本語の-asi(e.g.好ましい）による派生語。
