Outline of Research at the Start

バリ語の二大方言のうちマイナー方言である山地方言について申請者が構築してきた、山地方言社会の特徴をふまえた会話コーパスと語彙データベースをさらに拡張しながら、本研究はそこで示唆されたその背景にある社会構造、慣習、宗教儀礼などの山地方言社会特有の言語外知識の変異および言語使用の変異に注目する。具体的には、会話コーパスに基づき世代や性別といった属性や領域・話題ごとに山地方言に影響を与える標準方言の平地方言と国語インドネシア語の混在の傾向と分布を考察する。そして、語彙データベースを元に、山地方言社会に特徴的な文化項目および関連語彙・表現の知識について、主に面談調査により話者の属性ごとに明らかにする。
