Outline of Research at the Start	語の意味の研究においては、その語が表す概念そのものについての分析が主流であり、言語概念が互いにどのようなつながりを持つのか、ということについては不明な点が多い。本研究課題は大規模ウェブコーパスに基づく実証的な手法で、名詞や形容詞、オノマトペなどの品詞が表す言語概念がどのような事象にどのように参与するのかを明らかにすることで、言語概念間のつながりの全体像に光を当てる。そして、抽象的な概念の輪郭の描出や、事象参与関係に基づく詳細な意味役割など、関連事象に基づく言語分析の手法を確立する。このような関連事象アプローチの拡大と深化によって、言語概念間のつながりに基づく言語分析という新領域を開拓する。
