Outline of Research at the Start	びん祖語は故Jerry Norman教授の1973年、1974年、1981年の論文により再構された。四十年以上の時間が経過しているが、びん語音韻史そして中国語音韻史においてはいまだにこのびん祖語体系が用いられている。その一方、1980年代以降、びん語諸方言の調査は大きく進展した。これらのデータにはNorman教授再構のびん祖語の修正を迫るものも少なからず含まれている。本研究は、1980年代以降今日までに蓄積された膨大なびん語諸方言データに基づきびん祖語の再検討を行い、バージョンアップされたびん祖語を提示する。
