Outline of Research at the Start	本研究課題は、滋賀県大津市にある石山寺所蔵の仏典資料のうち、漢文に日本語の読み（訓点）の記入されているもの、即ち訓点資料について、特に平安時代のものを対象として、日本語学の立場から、総合的かつ詳細な検討を加えることを通じ、従来明らかになっていなかった同寺の所蔵する訓点資料の持つ種々の性格を解明することを目的としている。石山寺は７４７年の創建とされ、奈良東大寺の近江国への出先の寺院としての位置を持っていた。このことから、特に石山寺所蔵の９世紀の文献は正倉院聖語蔵に所蔵される仏典と同等の価値を有すると考えられており、これらの性格を日本語学の立場から解明しようとするものである。
