Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、「公共用語近代史の社会言語学研究」という新テーマに関して、大量データを集積し、公私の場面での言語使用を分析する。視野を収束して、社会言語学のうち計量語彙論的テーマを取り上げ、包括的かつ体系的な記述を目指す。従来の社会言語学・方言学がふだんのくだけた私的場面での言語に関心を持ったのに対し、改まったHighの公的場面での言語使用に焦点をあてる。江戸語・東京語を新たに調査対象に含める。これにより、公共用語の包括的理論を整備し、統一的原理を明らかにする。これまで10年以上の継続研究の総まとめとして、最終的に成果を統合して、インターネットで公開するとともに、報告書・資料集として刊行する。
