Outline of Research at the Start	AIの発達により、ChatGPT、Google翻訳、DeepL などのオンライン翻訳エンジンの翻訳精度は各段に向上したが、専門性の高い海事関係の英語文献の日本語への翻訳には、改善の余地が多い。本申請では「海事英語」を広く航海と船舶の運航に関する「航海英語」と船舶の主機関とその運用にかかわる「機関英語」のコーパスの総体ととらえ、これを日本語に翻訳することに特化した知識ベースを作成してChatGPTに組み込み「海事英語」の機械翻訳の精度向上を目指す。完成したシステムはネット上に公開し、フィードバック機能を組み込むことで、恒常的な翻訳精度向上を図る。
