Outline of Research at the Start

グリット（grit）とは、目標達成のため、難題であっても最後までやり遂げる力である。本研究では、大学生日本人英語学習者を対象に、目に関する生体情報を観察し、第2言語（L2）習得におけるグリットがL2処理に及ぼす影響を調べる。具体的には、英語学習者の読解・聴解課題を遂行する際の視線、瞳孔径および瞬目（まばたき）に関する生体データをもとに、課題に対する注意と集中の度合いをリアルタイムで観察することにより、マインドワンダリング（mind wandering）という課題から注意が逸れる現象の観点から、L2グリットがL2課題のパフォーマンスに及ぼす影響を検証する。
