Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、英語教師を志望する大学生を対象に、英語を母語としない留学生とのコミュニケーションに一定の期間参加する経験が、教育実習の前と後とで英語使用と文法指導に関する信条の変化にどのように関連するかを調査する。英語使用者としての意識に着目し、その形成・維持に多様な言語や文化的背景を持った相手との英語による交流経験が寄与する可能性を追究する。調査結果をもとに国際コミュニケーション能力向上を支援する研修モデルの開発を提案することで、必ずしも英語圏での生活経験がなくとも自信を持ってロールモデルとなり、国際語としての英語教育を実践できる中学校・高等学校の教師育成を推進するための足がかりをつくる。
