Outline of Research at the Start

日本社会における少数言語話者の権利保障に関して、特に立ち遅れているのが司法通訳の分野である。刑事事件の捜査から起訴、裁判に至る段階で、十分な意思疎通が行えないことは冤罪の温床ともなり、深刻な人権侵害をもたらすが、その具体的過程については情報公開もほとんどなく、ブラックボックス化している。本研究は、ベ トナム語話者に焦点をあて、司法関係者および元被疑者を対象に、対面インタビューによる実証的調査を行うことによって、司法通訳の現状がどうなっているのかを記述し、言語権保障の観点からみた、少数言語話者が関わる司法通訳に必要な社会的条件について明らかにすることを目的としている。
