本研究では、「グラフィカル・アブストラクト」とそれを用いた「ライトニングトーク」動画の作成を支援し、作成の手法をまとめ、オンラインで広く公開することを目指す。
グラフィカル・アブストラクトは研究成果を1枚の図に表したものであり、サイエンス（自然科学）分野では論文に添えることが増えてきている。Cell Pressによると、グラフィカル・アブストラクトはその論文のメッセージを瞬時に読み手に伝え、学際的な研究を促進することを目的としている。ライトニングトークは研究成果のハイライトのみの数分間の短いプレゼンテーションであり、これを動画にしたものが近年オンライン・カンファレンスで用いられている。
