Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の概要は、研究１で等質な英文読解能力を持つ３つの学習者集団に対し、英語物語文を読む際、Elleman (2017) の提唱した「教師主導型タスク」と「学習者主導型タスク」が読み手の心的表象（読んだ内容についての記憶の痕跡）に与える影響を、読解記憶の維持という観点から量的かつ質的に検証する。続く研究２ではテキスト（物語文）の「因果的結末」を推論させるタスクが心的表象に与える影響を検証する。さらに研究３では実験協力者を 1) 日本語読解力 2) 語彙力の点で能力別に区分し、どのような特徴を持つ学習者に対し、推論指導が機能するのかという適性処遇交互作用を明らかにする。
