Outline of Research at the Start

第二言語習得研究において、統語的複雑性は、熟達度、発達段階を示す上で重要な概念であり、先行研究では、この統語的複雑性の指標として、文の構造を直接的に数値化する試みがなされてこなかった(多くの場合、T-unitの平均的長さなどが使用されてきた)。本研究では、これら既存の指標を精査する中で統語的複雑性の概念について再考し、既存の指標では対象としていなかった、深さや平坦さといった、構造に関する統語的複雑性の指標を提案する。そして、提案指標と既存指標との関係、提案指標と熟達度との関係を検証し、提案指標の統語的複雑性における意義を検討する。
