Outline of Research at the Start

英語を媒介用語とした授業(EMI)は、日本国内約40%の大学で展開されている。しかしながらその教育効果については研究調査が追いついておらず、特にEMIにおける専門科目の学術的知識習得の成果は未知である。日本国内のEMIの教育効果に関する研究には、英語力の向上に関する調査がいくつかあるが、EMIを通して学術的知識が身についているかを調査したものはほとんど見当たらない。また、学術的知識の修得の効果的な評価方法を調査した研究は、申請者らが知る限り日本には存在しない。
そこで本研究では、学術的知識の修得の観点からEMI授業の教育効果を評価するための普遍かつ簡便で汎用性の高い評価方法の開発を目指す。
