Outline of Research at the Start

英語等のアルファベット言語の母語話者の正書法知識は、識字とその習得に重要であることが実証されている。母語の正書法知識は大量に文字と遭遇する中で非明示的に習得されるが、日本の環境での英語との遭遇量では不十分であろう。
本研究は、日本語の識字力を有する英語学習者の①正書法知識の実態と英語力の基盤を成す語彙力との関係、②英語との多読活動が正書法知識の獲得と発達にもたらす影響を授業実践前後の正書法知識と語彙力の変化によって明らかにし、③識字の効果的指導や学習方法を提案することを目的とする。また④日本人英語学習者の正書法知識を、教材作成や学習評価に利用できるようデータベース化を目指す。
