Outline of Research at the Start

日本人は日本人的な英語を話すことが自然だとする「国際英語論」の考え方は、比較的受け入れられている。だが、教育現場を見る限り英語との接触や言語使用は増えていない。この考え方を取り入れた英語の授業の方が、言語習得論的にも有効であるという具体的な証拠が示されていないからであろう。本研究では日常の英語の授業で国際英語論の考え方を重視した英語教育の有効性をまずモデル化し、具体的な考え方や実践方法を可視化し、理論の実践を直結することを目指す。また、国際英語論に於ける最も重要な評価基準である「国際的汎用性」を評価の中心に置いた場合の課題とその英語新評価基準の妥当性と有効性を検証、提案する。
