Outline of Research at the Start

AI時代の機械翻訳や生成AIの飛躍的な進歩は、英語教育にさまざまな変革を迫り、課題をもたらしている。これらの特性を活かした実践研究はライティングに特化したものはあるものの、リーディングに焦点をあてた研究はほぼ行われていない。また、教育のオンライン化が進み、英語学習にMTや生成AIを利用する大学生が激増し、これらの技術に対する関心は教員の間でも高まりを見せている。そこで、本研究では、大学生のMTや生成AI利用についてその活用実態を仔細に調査し、言語理解プロセスにもとづき、MTや生成AIを効果的に応用する包括的なリーディング教育方法を構築することをめざす。
