Outline of Research at the Start	戦後、1946年に沖縄、小笠原と並んで米軍統治下におかれた奄美群島は2023年12月に日本復帰70年周年をむかえる。本研究は、奄美群島の境界変動史をマルチスケールに検証し、境界変動過程を軸とした立体的な戦後史叙述を目的とする。日米の政府未公刊文書、地元メディア紙誌を駆使し、奄美群島間および奄美‐沖縄の地域間関係史（ミクロスケール）、日本中央と奄美群島間の中央地方関係史（メゾスケール）、北東アジアの冷戦構造と奄美問題（マクロスケール）の三層を複合的にとらえたスケール横断的地域史像を構築する。
