Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本近世から近代を通貫する視座から、従来の日本近代史研究では積極的には取り上げられてこなかった献金・寄附の理念と実態を通じて、地域変容や近代化過程を再考するものである。日本近世に一般的であった献金が、日本近代の寄附にどのように影響を与えたのか、そして寄附が地域変容や近代化にどのような役割を果たしたのかを、行政文書のみならず、個人・民間文書など私文書をも分析の対象として考察する。
