Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、岡山県選出の野﨑武吉郎（在任期間1890～1907年）と大阪府選出の久保田真吾（在任期間1890～1897年）を事例として、明治期における貴族院多額納税者議員の実態解明とネットワークの復元を行い、多額納税者議員の役割を中央と地方の両面から明らかにすることを通して、多額納税者議員とはいかなる存在で、どのような活動を行い、どれほどの影響力を持っていたのかという、基本的ではあるものの未だに曖昧なままの疑問点を解明する。
