Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、11世紀後半～12世紀前半の貴族である源俊房の日記『水左記』をとりあげ、古代・中世移行期に相当する当該期の政治・社会・文化を総合的に研究する基盤を形成することを目指している。『水左記』のより正確な校訂本文を作成すると同時に、その註釈を作成することを通じて、上記の課題にせまりたいと考えている。そのため、『水左記』自筆本（康平7年記）の原本調査や、『水左記』逸文を含む可能性のある部類記などを調査しつつ、「水左記輪読会」にて、同記の精密な註釈を作成していく。上記の活動を基軸に、適宜研究発表等を実施することで、古代・中世移行期研究に貢献していきたいと考えている。
