Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の核心をなす学術的な問いは、中世日本において宋元文化がどのように導入され、その過程で宋元文化がどのように変質したのかという点にある。本研究では特に宋元代中国からの渡来僧に注目し、鎌倉中期以後の宋元文化導入の様相を検討する。史料調査・現地踏査および定期的な研究会を実施し、その成果は論文執筆や口頭報告で発表しつつ、最終的には日中の社会情勢等も踏まえた総合的な蘭渓道隆の伝記執筆へとつなげる。また渡来僧明極楚俊の著作の輪読会も進め、その成果として校訂テクストをウェブ公開する。
