Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、13～14世紀のユーラシア広域を支配したモンゴル帝国の時代・地域のうち、特に14世紀の河西地方に焦点を当て、前近代ユーラシアにおける遊牧国家とオアシス商業民の共生関係についての理解を深めることを視野に、当地を支配したモンゴル支配層と、ユーラシア東部の広域にネットワークを構築していたウイグル人との共生関係の具体相を解明する。その際、歴史研究には十分に活用されてこなかったウイグル語の碑刻・写本史料を中心に、新たに発見された敦煌北区文書や敦煌石窟銘文などを現地調査したうえで活用し、漢文・ペルシア語編纂史料と比較検討しながら、より幅広い視点から解明することを試みる。
