Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は「帝国鉱山・冶金学会議」の第1回イギリス（1924年）、第2回カナダ（1927年）、第3回南アフリカ（1930年）大会に焦点を当て、一連の会議の内容と人的構成、および各種協会・団体・研究機関のネットワークを分析することで、横断的な鉱山史研究の構築を目指す。特に植民地インドを軸に、会議で紹介された「技術」や関わりのあった「技師」を中心に、データベースを構築し、相互の関係性が見えるように整理し、その上で図式化を試みる。これにより、横断的な鉱山史研究の可能性の端緒を開き、イギリス帝国史、さらにグローバル・ヒストリーに連結させると同時に、その成果をインド近代史の中に位置付け直す。
