Outline of Research at the Start

19～20世紀転換期の欧米諸地域で性的人身売買撲滅をめざした運動（反人身売買運動）は、現在の国際的な人身売買抑止運動の出発点として位置づけられる一方、近年の歴史研究では当時の運動の抑圧的な機能が指摘されている。だが、反人身売買運動の国際化と各地域内および複数地域間の運動との相互関連性は十分に解明されていない。そこで本研究では国境地域に焦点をあて、各地域内の運動の展開、地域間での運動の相互関連性、およびそれらと国際的運動との間に生じる相互作用の過程とメカニズムの解明を試みる。
