Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、内乱期・共和制期ブリテンにおける議会について、すべての議員の伝記情報を統計的に処理し全体的な傾向を把握した上で、その結果を特定の議員や選挙区の史料と照合することによって、危機の時代における議会の機能を明らかにする。具体的には、１．議員と選挙区に関するデータの集積と解析を行い、内乱期における議員と選挙区との関係を明らかにする。２．1620年代に強制借用金の支払い拒否者と内乱期議会派との連続性を統計的に分析し、両期間におけるメディアの影響力の高まりを究明する。３．共和政期にウェールズ・スコットランド・アイルランドから選出された議員を分析し、議会を通じた複合国家形成の可能性を探求する。
