Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、中世盛期から後期にかけて進展していく文書利用の実践という観点から、13・14世紀南フランスの異端審問による調査手法の特質を解明することを目指す。異端審問記録の作成にあたって書記がどのような技法を用いていたか、異端審問記録のテクストの構造を、モノとしての史料という側面にも着目しながら具体的に読み解いていく。その上で、異端者の「声」がいかにして記録されるに至ったかを問い直すことで、審問官がその記録を活用してどのように異端を追及・迫害して行ったか、社会のなかで異端（あるいはその疑いをかけられた者）がどのような扱いを受けたのか、その実態に迫っていきたい。
