Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、日本列島における縄文時代の複合的生業に季節性が持っていた重要性を明らかにすることを目的として、持続可能性のある環境管理という側面をもつ伝統的知識を、編物の素材となる植物資源管理と複合的な生業の中のひとつとしての編物製作に着目して分析する。
対象は主に編物製作者を対象とした聞き取りデータ、遺跡出土の編物とし、具体的な方法としては、過去に行われた民俗調査報告の文献調査、編物製作者の聞き取り調査、そして考古資料の比較を行う。考古資料としては、青森県是川遺跡・佐賀県東名遺跡出土資料等をとりあげ、各地域の植生・民俗資料データに基づいた植物資源管理カレンダーの構築を行う。
