Outline of Research at the Start	「小倉織」は江戸時代より豊前小倉地域の特産として全国に普及した綿織物である。その特徴は「双糸」を使用して高い密度で織りあげた点で、備前・諏訪・足利地方にも伝播した。本研究では、小倉織の地域性と時代性を整理しながら小倉織の多様性を把握し、起源、伝播、発展、量産化などの画期を重視し、糸の番手・密度・縞の配色・染料などのデータを数値化することで、小倉織の特徴を明確化する。また、復元による技術検証をおこない、他の綿織物との比較を通して、庶民の衣料として受容され、全国的に普及した条件を探る。さらに、その背景となる産業と流通、生産と技術、小倉織の利用についても、文献史料や製織道具などを通して考察する。
