Outline of Research at the Start

「文部省管轄国立博物館」の構想から組織改編までを追い「文部省管轄国立博物館」史を編纂し、博物館史、博物館学における「文部省管轄国立博物館」の位置づけを再定義する。編纂では、これまでの調査で未解明だった「国立博物館」構想の決定版（第３構想）の主導者や組織改編の原因の究明に取組み、関係者の思想、言動を丁寧に追った人物紹介、関係事象や用語の詳細な解説など多角的・立体的な編纂を試みる。本研究は、占領期の博物館史の空白を埋める重要なものであり、日本の博物館史、博物館学さらには占領期の文化教育政策の研究に貢献できると考える。
