Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では長野県志賀高原で異なる標高帯での植生復元を比較し，亜高山帯針葉樹林の拡大過程を解明する。また各標高帯における土壌分布とその形成年代から地表環境の変遷史を構築する。これらの成果を比較・統合により，完新世での亜高山帯針葉樹林の拡大過程やその要因を解明する。本研究により亜高山帯の植生形成史を解明できれば，地球温暖化よる高山域の生態系へ与える影響を解明・予測に寄与できるものと考えられる。
