Outline of Research at the Start	地球環境問題の一つである地球沸騰化は、21世紀中に人類が解決すべき喫急の課題であるが、地球沸騰化対策の推進が必ずしも持続可能な社会への移行を促すとはいえない。したがって、高炭素経済から低炭素経済への移行において、いかなる労働者や地域等が取り残されないことを目的とする公正な移行の概念にもとづいて、既存社会を転換する必要がある。本研究は、持続可能性移行論に依拠して、都市における公正な移行の実態を解明するとともに、地理学の視点から、なぜ特定の都市で公正な移行が進展し、低炭素経済とグリーンジョブの両立を可能とした環境都市となったかを明らかにする。
