Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、ネパールにおける「屠畜・肉売りカースト」カドギの人びとを中心に、南アジアにおけるムスリム、仏教徒、及びイギリスや日本におけるディアスポラの屠畜文化を対象とする。公衆衛生言説への組み込みを背景とした上からの価値の再編に対し、儀礼面・世俗面を超えて展開される屠畜従事者の日常的な交渉と、そこからの屠畜文化の下からの読み替え・再創造のあり方を、時間軸・空間軸で動態的に提示する。
