Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は国民国家の周縁の境域に生きる「証書なき移動民(undocumented migrant[s])」の様態と諸相とを、中国・タイ・ベトナムを対象に、文化人類学的なフィールドワークや収集文献資料の分析から明らかにする。本研究で言う「証書なき移動民」とは、公的な身分証明等を持たずに越境移動した結果、元の国家の生得的な国民的地位を喪失するなどし、先の国家で不安定な地位・状態に陥った者等を指す。本研究では、半世紀ほどの間の「証書なき移動民」の主に国境越え(越境)の様態、②越境した個人や集団に対し面接調査による個人史や社会史の復元、越境前後の生活実態の把握を行う。
