Outline of Research at the Start

本研究においては、エチオピアの音楽・芸能を対象にした映像民族誌を、その担い手たちとともに制作し、映像民族誌の制作と活用に基づく文化保護モデルを構築する。アフリカの無形文化を対象にした映像民族誌は、地域住民の視点を介さず、研究者や国際機関が一方向的に行う傾向が強い。さらに、記録・保護すべき無形文化の認識について国際機関、当該国政府、地域住民の間に溝があり、対象地域における映像記録の活用に関する議論が十分に行われていない点を指摘できる。本研究では、今日消滅ないしは著しい変容を強いられているアフリカの無形文化を対象にした望ましい映画制作・活用の指針を示す。
