Outline of Research at the Start	民俗学で戦争を語ることを考えていきたい。本研究で注目したいのは従来記録化されることが少なかった従軍したが外地にいかなかった看護婦や戦後看護学校を卒業した人々である。彼女らの多くは海外からの引揚げ者等の対応等、戦後すぐの医療の現場、第１線で活躍した。戦後医療体制や日常の欧米化といった社会変化の中で、看護を仕事としてきた職業婦人たちの生活史を明らかにしていきたい。民俗学の手法として可能な限り体験者の体験を聴くことを目指すが、年々困難となっている。それ故、従来の記録資料の見直し、本研究の目的に応じた再収集を行いたい。また地域に起きた変化を具体的にとらえながら、日本社会の中で位置づけていきたい。
