Outline of Research at the Start	２０２４年度には、内外の文献研究と国内の治療施設における実践的成果の研究を踏まえて、ドイツ（さらにはスイス）、中国、韓国、米国、さらには台湾の現地調査と研究者の意見交換を行う。２０２５年度には、前年度からの調査の残りを行うとともに、研究成果を総合する作業を行う。・２０２６年度には、過去2年度の調査の残りを行うとともに、研究の成果をまとめ、刑罰と治療および強制的な処分とのあるべき関係について、学問的な提言を行う。
