Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、民主主義の後退に関する最新の実験研究を踏まえた上で、独自のサーベイ実験を実施することで以下２つの問いに答える。(1) 党派的利益よりも優先される民主的価値（たとえば参政権）は果たして存在しないのだろうか。(2) 内的に合理化することが困難な非民主的な態度や行動（たとえば野党の弾圧やクーデタ）はないのだろうか。国政選挙の前後にサーベイ実験を行うことで内的妥当性の高い実験を設計し、またアメリカ、イギリス、ドイツ、日本などで実験を行うことで、分析結果の外的妥当性を検証する。
