Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本とカナダにおいて近年展開しているジェンダーに配慮した議会を実現するための制度改革を対象とし、中央・地方議会における制度改革の現状把握と、制度変化にかかわる政治過程の比較分析を行う。さらに、改革をめぐる議論の言説分析を行い、民主主義や代表制、議員の身体性や責務についてどのような視点が提示され、議会や議員にかかわる諸制度が暗黙のうちに前提としてきたジェンダー規範、つまり男性で、健常で、ケアの不要な身体性をもつ議員により議会が構成される（べきである）という認識にいかなる変容が生じているのかを分析する。
