Outline of Research at the Start

2016年のイギリスのEU離脱をめぐる国民投票（2016年6月23日に実施）やアメリカ大統領選（2016年11月8日に実施）が行われて以降、ポストトゥルース政治が到来した。ポストトゥルース政治は、世論形成にあたって感情への訴えかけや個人の信念よりも客観的事実が影響力を持ちにくい状況を指す。
本研究課題では、政治家がいかなる表情やレトリックを用いて、国会で質疑を行い、また大臣等の答弁者はいかに回避のレトリックを用いているかを明らかにする。加えて、レトリックとしてメタファー（比喩表現）を取り上げ、いかなる表現を用いて、人々の恐怖に訴えかけ、同情を引き出しているかを明らかにする。
